The Escapes

The Destination Valhalla stunt will begin with Santini manacled inside a locked wooden box. The box will be on a wooden raft anchored in the Harbour. Wood and brush will be piled against three sides and doused with kerosene. Santini will have only a few minutes to escape before flaming torches are tossed onto the raft by his assistants, igniting it.

Santini is handcuffed, then locked inside a metal vault that is blasted with propane torches - turning the vault into a virtual oven. This vault is NOT insulated or protected against the heat. Santini will wear NO fire or heat resistant clothing nor flame resistant skin gel. Just one man, one thin walled box, and three VERY nasty propane flame throwers! He has to escape before being roasted to death.

Santini has his wrists locked into metal manacles constructed in such a way that his hands cannot touch each other. The chains of the manacles are locked with borrowed brand new padlocks he has never seen before. These locks can be provided by a local business or company ensuring a local publicity tie in and stimulating a maximum amount of public interest. A 100 ft length of chain is also padlocked to the manacles on Santini's wrists. The other end of the 100 ft chain is then padlocked to a high speed, high performance vehicle like a dragster, hot rod, race car, power boat or even a missile or jet aircraft. A wooden box is then screw nailed shut around Santini's chained wrists to prevent him from using his mouth or teeth in any attempt to slip off the chains that bind him. In effect, he is now locked into a high security escape proof situation. Now bound, an M.C. begins a 10 second countdown. At the "zero" mark, the vehicle tears off at top speed! In a matter of seconds the length of chain on the ground is taken up until there is no slack left between the racing vehicle and The Dark Master of Escape! Santini has mere seconds to escape or the results are obvious: he will be Dragged to Death!

The Ripper consists of three power drills surrounded by 150 nails that move forward slowly on a track toward the artist, who will be shackled inside a metal collar and cuffs. Santini has 2 minutes and 2 seconds to achieve escape. There are no safeties.

An example of a smaller scale escape stunt, Santini's thumbs are linked by plastic zip ties, his forearms locked into the box, and he must escape before the razor sharp power drill pierces his unprotected flesh.

Another example of a smaller scale escape stunt, in which Santini must escape wrist shackles and straightjacket before being winched into razor sharp swords and one BIG running chainsaw.

Locked in a wooden box filled with shredded paper, and electric coils heating the paper until it bursts into flames!
